Thanks. The sigma 150 - 500 does a good job with nice backgrounds. unfortunately not all birds cooperate.

Nice shots and backgrounds. A lot of my seed gets eaten by the blackbirds and other unwanted birds grrrrr [emoji13]

I really like that house finch, what a cool little bird!
They are quite common here, but can be difficult as they are skittish and even if you can get them close, they take off at shutter click. I swear they can actually hear the focus motor. However we wouldn't do this if it was easy.
