Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I have been watching youtube videos as of late that feature photos shot with a 1000d. I have tried my hand at making one as well. I could use a few ideas on how to make it watchable:

Thank you in advance....

A couple of things strike me: Many of the photos seem soft, which I think is a result of the transition you're using, and I think a theme or some sort of 'idea' would help. There's no apparent flow, just random images of all types which don't always work well with each other. Try, say, all nature, or all birds, or all of a similar colour, or...

I was going to say something similar. I dislike spiders VERY much so for me I was seeing the beautiful landscape photos then spiders and was like AGGHHH but if you have it set into different genres it would help tons!

The images may be going through a bit too quickly.

How much longer should each photo last than it is presently? Grouping into specific genres is a great idea. I will keep that in mind for future projects. How about the transition effects? Were they tolerable? How was the music? Too loud; too soft? Considering the song was being recorded from a scratched LP, I think my audio technician buddy did a pretty good job...

I didn't mind the music at all. If you truely want people to view the photos spend 3-5 seconds on each frame. It allows the eye to focus on what is in front of it and take it all in. This works exceptionally well for the photos with more dynamics and contrast. You used one transition effect that looked like scales or mesh that the photo slid through that you might want to change because it was like when you are waiting for a photo to de-pixelate on yahoo photosharing etc.. You want to give your slides(photos) the transitions that are becoming to each photograph. I hope that all makes sense. I am just begining but that's what I would do. :)

Thank you humburg...welcome to TPF...hunter and I think its cool...I'll work on another one soon...

no problem I LOVE SLIDE SHOWS!! I tend to make them a ton due to hubby being in the military I take pics and make them for him when he's deployed.

That's awesome...what a thing to look forward to...I'm sure it makes it easier for him...

The biggest issue i have with it is the redundancy in transition. Same exact transition on every picture. It made it difficult for me to watch, and I stopped half way through. Using the same transition over and over is hypnotic at best, and seizure inducing at worst. Different transitions thrown in the mix can really have a great impact on the overall presentation of a slide show, and help capture attention rather than divert it.

My humble, uneducated, forgettable .02

Definately not forgettable...thank you...I will take the time to really think about what transitions would be best for each photo...

What transitions do you find yourself liking the most? I found that a simple fade-through-while-enlarging transition would be the best and then I copied-and-pasted it to the rest of the photos since I am notoriously lazy...no excuse...I know...

I will work more diligently on the next version...

It bothers me that the images are just "sitting there" until they (to quickly) zoom out. I agree with the comment about the same transition getting old. I'm not one to use a bunch of transitions in my slide shows, maybe one or two. I use the "Ken Burns" effect quite often. With a fade between images as well. It's very cool. Check it out here: Ken Burns effect - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thank you...checking the link out right now...

Thank you so much everyone for not sneering...and instead being incredibly awesome....
