Speed Demon

Found this snail and another one under a board lying on the ground. The flash reflection off snails is so strong that I upped the ISO to 800 so I could dial the flash down. Probably should have tried 1600.

Thanks Netskimmer. I have a terrible habit of inadvertently hitting the command wheels on my camera and changing my settings. For macro I normally use a 1/160 or 1/200 shutter speed. For these shots its a good thing I was using a monopod because in checking the exif data I saw that one was at 1/80 sec and the other one at 1/60. That is one thing I need to be sure to check frequently. When putting the card back into the camera to put the camera away I noticed the shutter speed was 1/60 and I thought "no way" but sure enough the last shot was definitely at 1/60. It's a good thing this snail is not a speed demon.
