I take boring pictures. Please tell me how to start improving more?

I like the DOF, colors and how the light comes through. The contrast really brings out the webs and it almost feels sinister.

#1 is my fav! that light source in the cackground is very interesting, and ads a nice glow to the web.. well done!

I like number three. Is has the leading line that added some interest for me and the slight flare drew me eye across the web. I prefer that out of all.

I like the first one alot the light kind of gives off a feel of a ghost the shape and shadowing kinda inhances the creepiness of the spider webs! Nice job!

Thanks all for your explanations. :D

 I have to agree, #1 is ok all the light is a little distracting but it did highlight the web well

The first one is a keeper. Best out of the three, in my opinion. Gives off quite a mood.

#1 looks like it's a shot from a horror film... eerie.... well done!

#1 has such a classic "creepy" feel to it. Well done!

Strange that #1 is seen as "creepy"... since I wasn't going for that at all! I just liked the light from the window in the back. But I totally see how it turned out that way. :)

I like #1 because of the grate/fence. It might be a 'technically' better image if the lines from the grate led to the light, rather than seeming to point away from the light but that doesn't really make it a bad composition.

It's dark and gritty though and the fence or whatever those bars are give them image more depth. Me like.
