I'm with Ernest Hemingway and only recognize 3 sports, but there are a bunch of games.

Hot dog eating isn't even a game. In the case of that event, it's just an advertising gimmick for Nathan's hot dog chain.

Calling THAT a sport is a clear case of abuse, of language, common sense, health, and probably a few dozen other things. But as a spectacle, it's probably better than public hangings, or watching lions chow down.
