Spring is in Illinois! Found this guy by my pond.

Taken inside, this guy is really skittish. Not the best 'photograph', but I was THRILLED to see him after the winter. Just wanted to share. He's about 6 inches long.

Nice find! The first signs of spring are always a welcome sign, even if they're not as conventionally attractive as, say, a bunch of tulips.

He'll turn a bit more green as spring progresses. There are about 3 frogs that reside in my Koi pond, and they winter at the bottom in hibernation.
