I probably shouldn't be hyping manufacturers products here but this one stands out. Back about a year ago when I had lots of money I bought lots of camera gear. From that pile this thing gets used a lot. Maybe other people make something like this as well.

Comes in handy when any question about a lens comes up. My Canon 5D3 has micro adjustment for each lens used and this thing sure helped. I used it the other day for testing my Teleconverters.

Want to know what the depth of field is for a certain F stop? Grab the Lenscal.

Got one two years ago after a period of continuous back-focusing problems with several Nikkor lenses. Finally dumped the Nikon system (it did not have Micro-focus adjustability) and went back to a Canon system ( 5d MKII ).

To my surprise, right out of the box, my brand new Canon and lenses were a little off. The 70-200 f2.8 lens was back-focusing a little. However when I mounted the new 1.4X extender it was Front-focusing! My new 24-105 f4.0 lens was also back-focusing a little.

Just goes to show, it does not matter what brand of camera you use, you MUST check how your lenses are focusing regularly ( especially if you're doing photography professionally )--I check mine every three months.

Most importantly I will NEVER own a camera again that does not have MICRO-FOCUS ADJUSTABILITY.

I agree, most of my lenses have some small adjustment needed.
