St. Marys Lighthouse (sunset & dark)

I LOVE the first photo it's beautiful.

Did you use photoshop at all?

The 2nd is also great.

Thanks very much for all the comments, much appreciated.....

What kind of post processing did you do, if any?
The first shot is 3 exposures (not hdr) one for the sky, 2 for the water and 3 for the foreground although I darkened the foreground a bit in PS.....Then layered and masked out the bits I didn't want to use.

Was there any artifical light in #2 ? Night shots often have so much temp change to them, these dont. :D
The 2nd shot is just the one shot and the lighthouse itself IS artificially lit GREEN, RED and BLUE rotating lights which was a bit of a nightmare considering some of the lengthy exposures I used.

Your work is spectacular and very inspiring! Very nice color, tone, and comp. Really sets the mood for evening.

The first shot is actually 3 shots. I exposed for the sky, then the sea and finally the foreground.....using layer masks I then blended these together in PS keeping the certain bits from each exposure. I think the sea was about 30seconds.
I've since cropped the foreground and think it looks better....don't know, just my opinion.
