Star Trails

Just Playing around with live composite mode on my Olympus.
Does anyone have any tips on how to take out airplane lines?

Here is a quick run thru with the photoshop spot healing brush at 20 pixels wide, just drawing it along the plane trails.

What settings were used to shoot this one? I like it, shame about the noise pollution but pretty impossible to get away from it these days..

Several simple tricks to get you started: First, in your RAW editor (even if you are shooting jpeg), change the White Balance to "Auto," - Image 1

Next, use the content aware fill with the lasso tool to isolate the airplane tracks - Image 2

Lastly, use your "Levels" adjustment slider for lights and darks.

Yeah it was nice being high enough to get all the Stars though. And I believe it was 30sec exposures
F/2.0
Rokinon 12mm (pretty great lens for the price) kinda sucks that I'm micro 4/3 though.
I think iso 640 or 800
I can't remember how long I let it go for I believe it was about a 45 min shot.
