Storm Shots

I'm new to photography and would like to start some storm shots what setting would you recommend, i have a Canon S2 IS.

if you can do this with a p&s i don't know, but the norm for lightning shots (im assuming thats what you mean) is to just put the camera in manual, set the f/8 and the shutter to bulb untill you get a flash

I really can't think of another way to do it other than long exposures and a lot of finger crossing.
