Strange Pattern

Hi guys, I hope you can help me with this issue since I´m a begginner in digital photography. I took this picture with a Nikon Coolpix 4200 camera, and this vertical pattern appeared in the picture. Do you know what could be causing this? The photo was taken using the following settings, which have been set automatically by the camera:
Resolution: 4 Mbits / Fine quality
ISO speed: 200
Exp. time: 1/161 sec.
