Suggestions camera for low level light video

I am going to an ice skating show in Canada and I would like to purchase a camera that performs well in low light situations. Last year I went and used an iPhone 6 and X. I wasn't so happy with the results. I am looking for suggestions for a camera less than $700 as well as any tips to video in this type of event situation. Thank you in advance for any help.
