I have enjoyed taking photos for the past few years. Railroad photography got me started. Lately I have upgraded to a better camera and started taking landscape and other photos. I don't get much feedback where I post them so I am looking for any suggestions you may have. Thanks in advance! Http://matthewsteinblock.com.

Welcome!

You will get feedback here if you actually post pictures. Post 1-3 (at the most) in one thread for people to comment and critique them. Most people aren't going to follow links to give feedback on a large group of photos.

Looking forward to seeing you around!

I actually checked your link and my favorite one is "Morning Fog" but yea you might wanna post some pics directly in here, that will make things easier.

Thanks for the suggestion MT. I hesitated posting because what I think are good photos sometimes are not what others think. :) I am trying to upload photos and getting nothing but errors. I will keep trying.

I give up, not matter what I try I get an "undefined" red x when trying to upload. I have tried small files as well so it cant be a size limit. Since I am new am I limited to my upload permissions?

Ya, it's probably better if you just give up.

Try un-checking the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box.

Review the pinned thread at the top of this forum which details a 'How to' for posting images.

Man, tough crowd. Easy on the newbie.... I am new here and dont know the ins and outs. Something that you take for granted and do everyday is new for other people.

I do thank Sonoma for the link, that helps tremendously.

Here are a couple I like.

By reputation I'm not considered the sharpest tack in the box. But, I am noted for my tenacity. I never give up.

The second photo is a dramatic scene, but the halo processing artifact makes it look other worldly, and over-processed.

I would crop a bit off both top and the bottom of the first photo. It will make it look more like a panorama.

I recommend putting a blank line between photos for a somewhat better individual photo presentation.I
also recommend choosing an edit preference in your your profile settings: My Photos Are OK to Edit or My Photos Are Not OK to Edit.

I love the second photo. As KmH said, it's dramatic, but there is an obvious halo where you darkened.

Thanks for the comments! The first would look cool panaramic, I may have to try that. :) The second was my first attemp at HDR, which gave it that halo.
