Summer heat questions

When it is hot and dry what types of thing should I look for to photograph?
I want to be out shooting for some practice but in this heat and drought I am not sure where to go. Any comments are appreciated.

Shoot things that are photogenic when they are hot and dry. Shoot outside during the 'golden hours' - 30 minutes before, to 1 hour after sunrise, and 1 hour before, till 30 minutes after sunset. It's much cooler in the mornings, there is usually less wind, less dust in the air, and you might get lucky and have some fog or mist if you're shooting landscapes.

Or stay inside where it's cool, shoot some incense smoke, and work on your image editing skills.

Another consideration with the summer heat and humidity is condensation on your camera gear.

Going from a cool, low humidity environment to a hot, humid environment will cause condensation unless you let the temperature of your camera gear equalize to the hotter, humid environment.
In the summer that means going from inside to outside, and in the winter, going from outside to inside.
