Sun Valley Quakies

Overnighted in Sun Valley for a treat, and went up a canyon as far as the snowplow would allow us - found this little stand of quakies and the sun was
hitting them just perfect...

Nice shot. Just one comment - does it add anything, make it better or worse compositionally, if you crop off the tops of ther trees so that only the trunks are showing. The reason I asked is that you have cropped off the bottom parts of the trees in the front, so I wondered - what if the tops were also cropped off. Just curious, that's all.

Thanks !! - I included the tops to add a little different texture to the image.... Pretty much a personal decision made at the time that I pulled the trigger.. The reasons for the crop in the first place was that there were some big rocks around the base of the trees, and over the tops of the trees was an old large water tower.. I wanted to concentrate on the image of "Quakies" and not add something to the photo that would distract from that idea.. Appreciate your comments !
