Sunlight in Scotland, at last...

Honestly you wouldn't believe it's June! Yesterday evening average wind speeds were reaching 43mph gusting 67mph according to the local observation centre just down the road. Temperatures are unseasonably low holding back growth.

But today the sun shone, briefly, and Scotland glowed. And nothing shows that growth more than the new beech leaves in sunlight. I just hope I've done it justice.

Good work on the photo mate, and aye you've done it justice. I kinda wish there was a wee bit more foreground to add a smidgen to the leading line but I'm really nitpicking there.

The trouble with leaving the extra foreground (apart from upsetting the balance) is that it removes you by one step from being in the trees. I'd much rather place you in there amongst them and make you take the step back to see it as a whole, if you see what I mean. Also that really is full frame, to the pixel...
