My wife and I hit the road for a day of photography at our favourite spots around Southern Ontario First stop was YYZ, Toronto International Airport. I have been trying to capture some images of the Etihad A-340 but I’m now 0 for 3 It was then off to the duck pond to visit some friends. First to come over was Mr. Mallard. Mrs. Mallard Mr. Bufflehead making a flap Mrs. Bufflehead coming in for a landing Mrs water-skiing We were then off to a tree in the middle of nowhere to fine some Pine Grosbeaks I had heard about yesterday. Luckily we managed to find them. They usually do not venture this far south so it was a nice find. Male Female We then hit the back roads heading for home A photo for Chiller. I had to stop at an old graveyard for a few images Found some playful and friendly horses Down the road from there we found a friendly Lama, I think Stopped in at Lakeridge Ski hill for a few winter images One of my favourite places to visit near our home is this farm, wonderful setting Had to stop for a shot of this smiley face Caught the sunset and headed home for some wine and dinner Thanks for looking, Eric
lovely shots as always. Lovely colors and really sharp. I like the shot of Mr. Mallard and the one with the distant tree and snowy ground....groovy shots
your mackerel sky looks great! and the picture of the tree with the blue sky and the snow covered ground, the horizon is off centered.
Man oh man, what a great bunch of shots. I can barely narrow it down to a few faves... -I like Mr. Mallard cuz it shows him walking so gingerly on the ice (and water is running off him like, well, water off a duck) -Mrs. Bufflehead landing and waterskiing are fun shots...I always like to see them just as they land, with their feet outstretched -the grosbeaks are spectacular! Wonderful colour and dof and natural surroundings -the lone tree really appeals to me...so solitary and bleak, but with that pretty sky -love the sharpness of the headstone shot -love all the horse and llama shots, showing their playful/inquisitive side -and that last shot is simply stunning You had a very productive day!
Very nice, Sounds like a very nice day you guys had. The pictures look great I love Mrs. Mallard & #15 my daughter would love to have hanging on her wall.
