Sunset NYE 2008. Sydney. Australia

new member, first post. This was NYE 2008. I quite like it. Wish I had a ND to take a longer shot to get some water blur.

This is really good. But i think that the horizon is a bit tilted to the right. Otherwise great composition and of course lovely colors. But what else do you expect from a sunrise, right?:thumbup:

Yeah the horizon looks a little off, but it is still a great silhouette of the skyline.

Ok, so if you had this vantage point on NYE, where are all the fireworks shots :waiting:?? You need to stop your aperture down more to slow your shutter down, that would blur your water. If that blows your sky out, thats ok. Take another shot to expose the sky correctly then use a ND grad filter in photoshop to bring the 2 images together. Tripod a must. I like the sillouette too.

love the silhouette, but might be better with a tighter crop or as a pano shot
