The shot you posted is quite interesting, as a matter of fact. I see the flatness of the top of the rims, and the sunset just on top, and two birds, what's not to like?

If you hadn't told me, I wouldn't know that it is the Grand Canyon. None of the landscape is illuminated, but maybe that is one of the problems of taking sunset pics at the Grand Canyon - not enough relief and no clouds to give some depth to the sunset - don't know - what is your experience here?

Yeah, i could not a done a better job than that, the canyon get dark at night, so, if you want to get the sunset colors, you cannot get the canyon properly. You still can see on the picture though that theres some canyon involve in the picture (I find)
Very fun adventure though, I hiked down to the colorado river, its very nice, really like it. And its easy to get away from the crowd too
