Sunset practice

Yesterday was the first time I went out with the sole purpose of photographing a sunset. Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like you succeeded in capturing the sunset. I just wish there was something interesting, other than the sun. More clouds and/or stiller waters would have been nice, but sometimes you have to deal with what you have.

I took some with a telephoto to try and capture the sand dunes on the island but didn't like how they came out.

nice shot. I love that area. It would be nice to see something in the foreground tho. I have tried dragging drift wood into a scene but never got a correct exposure.
