Yeah people often act innapropriated (guys) but I can be a *****, i'm first polite, asking them to leave politely, telling them they can watch but a little further from us, if they try to take pic, or stay in my bubble or my model bubble then I turn medusa mode, which works real good.

Men are the biggest problem, for some reason that doesn't surprise me.
It is good of you to be nice about it first. But I can know being nice doesn't work with a lot of people, and you have to be meaner. Around here I would have the police on me in no time!

Often you just have to bullshit when you know the law.
I can bullshit about having a permit, which is often not the case, bullshit about quebec law, can't shoot a person if her face is recognizable on photo even on public space, bullshit something with a mean look on your face and creeps goes aways, because they are just looking for a fun time, and you're not making their job easy or fun. Then you can shoot with your model being comfortable, and it's the most important thing. If your model shut up, then it's over no matter what you will try.

Ithink i'm successfull not because of talent, but because I do care about them, i'm close too them, and that helps a looot! When you shoot a category of people that enter in the YOUR people category it's a big plus.

It is always more comfortable with a friend, even if you have only know them five minutes. And as comfortable as your models/clients always look, you must be a kind person.

Knowing the laws always helps! A few years ago in a small town here in Kansas the police got a call that there was a nude man walking down the sidewalk on main street in the middle of the day. So they go find him and are going to arrest him, when he informs the police that there is no law in the town against public nudity. The nude guy walked off and left the cops standing there, because he was right! He wasn't breaking any law and he know it! So knowing the laws is very handy!
