Taking indoor club photography

Yes VI w/out people. That's exactly the type of shot I'm thinking of. I guess I should do a little research on 2nd curtain sync.
Oh and what's POTN??

The other 2 posts above, I think you're thinking that I'll be taking pics of people while they're dancing. Sorry I should have mentioned, it's an empty club as they're just launching.

2nd curtain sync is where the camera tells the flash to fire when the second curtain is closing. This causes any blur that is apparent because of ambient to come before the flash, so it looks like motion should. Without it enabled, the flash will freeze motion and it will look like the blur is coming out of the sationary person. It's a setting that's enabled in the camera's menus and only works with Canon speedlights. It may work with 3rd party TTL speedlight...not sure...

POTN - Photography On The Net. It's one of the largest sites out there for photography and it's dedicated to Canon DSLRs. They accept people who own all brands, but it's going o be much harder getting a question like "how do I enable this feature in my Nikon camera" rather than if you're asking Canon specific questions.

Below thread is labeled NSFW.

Thanks man. Just read a whole thing on 2nd curtain sync, not hard to understand at all. I just have to practice it. God thing it'll be just me and couple people so no crazy bash while I'm trying to shoot. I can figure things out. I will try both w/ flash and w/out flash to see the results.

I do have Canon 580EX so I'm not worried bout that part. I'll read the link you sent me and master it baby!

Try like the shot above, check screen and histogram and paint in some light with a big torch where it's dark with no detail
