Lovely pictures of lovely vessels.
You can sign up as temporary crew on a lot of tall 'ships' (they aren't really ships - a ship-rigged vessel has square sails on all masts, and at least three masts) and pay for the privilege. There's nothing quite like it. It isn't anywhere near as raw and brutal as it was in the days of commercial sail, however. Mariners International is a good place to start.

No... that's not why I'm here either... Oh yeah!!! Before this thread got so utterly derailed by a certain popular poster... Those tailships as you call them are so cool. Is there a way one could ride on one? Nice picts all around Anty.
