I like her form and love he background...I feel the lone hair on her face is a distraction.

What's your intent in lighting her from behind?

There's something about this I really like even though the pose seems a bit awkward. Agreed that the lighting on her leg could be improved. I didn't notice the hair on her face, I'll have to go back and look again.

Possibly I just like the fact that it's a photo of a gorgeous young lady in a slinky dress (I'm a sucker for a pretty girl) but the use of the sunset(rise) as background and the lighting on her upper half seems really good, too.

I kind of don't get that either? But there seems to only be a light source coming from her back, so that's why the leg is underexposed.


This does however remind me of a pythia, a priestess of sorts in Greek history.

I had two flashesbut I used only one in order to have this lateral effect, strongly directional. Thank you for your comment
