This is my first critique request. The pictures below were taken with cameras I don't have anymore, but might give you an idea of where my skill - or lack thereof - stands right now. Let's call these "before TPF" and I hope, with your help, that there will be marked improvement as time goes on.

I live in a small community in California, 80 miles north-west of Reno, NV. Spent most of my life in this area. It's beautiful country and I hope to learn how to better represent it in my photography. I need your help to do that, so your feedback is important.

This first pic was taken one early morning 2006 from the edge of the highway.

I did flooring for 35 years before I got sick and this was my last jobsite in 2007 - the front yard of the home I put carpet in. It kind of reflected how I was feeling at the time.

I love this majestic old building in Quincy, CA.

#1 I like. I'm not sure why but I do like it. If it were my picture I would clone out that roof and poles

#3 Nice shot, but I think nicely maintained buildings such as this need more than just detail shots, although detail shots are important.
