Telephoto advice 5-20 miles

A 24mm lens should be able to do it. Just make sure you go within 5 ft of the action and try to hide somewhere. Shooting miles away requires flash.

Through a 400mm lens on an APSC body, (and subsequently cropped IIRC) has the ship at about 4 miles, the nearer turbines about 7 miles & the further ones about 20 miles!

As @480sparky said, the early replies showed it wouldn't be a cheap option. Loging on to merely reply probably proved more effort than their gratitude stretched to.
