Love the lighting in these except for #4. It looks overexposed and grainy. The rest are a nice testimony for the lens.

those images were shot with an Octabox w. a 400wtts strope about 7 feet tall aimed down at the model camera right and a 430EX camera left roughly 15 feet behind the model. Strobe was set on full power as was the speedlight. (strobe was pointed in front of the model and not directly at the model to use only the soft edges of the light. Also #4 was processed that to achieved just that, grain and slightly over exposed.

Thanks for the info - I think I can see it now. I'm just beginning with a proper lights setup, so am analysing shots I like for their lighting !

I've never seen myself owning a Tamron, but these pics, like a lot of others I've seen over the last year or so, really have me re-thinking my aversion to Tamron. Like most of the responses, I really like your lighting on #1 and #5. :thumbup:

Love this lens!! I just got my hands on it and it is permanently attached to my camera now!

Your pictures/lighting/processing, #1, and #5 particularly, are gorgeous! I hope to accomplish something like this some day. But for now, I'm just trying to master my speedlight. lol
