Texas Bluebonnets and a backyard friend

Good ole Texas and her beautiful wildflowers lol. Then I came home and found this little guy on my fence. WOuld have liked a little more DOF on the first two, but the third has a very nice DOF I think.

Gotta love Texas. My wife bought a bumper sticker for me that says, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could". That pretty much sums up my feelings.

I was thinking of doing some bluebonnet shots this weekend, but didn't get a chance. I like the close in shots that you have done. Most of the ones that we see are with the whole field of blue bonnets. Thanks for the great pics.

i think bluebonnets are more beautiful up close, there so different than most flowers. Its wonderful to see shapes in nature, such as these little petals making a perfect cone shape.
