That first paying job!!

So a couple of weeks ago I got my first paying job! I took about 150 shots of a toddler.. Well here are some of my faves from them.. They seemed to very happy with them. I am sooo glad.

she's so cute she must have been hard to photograph... I found it difficult to take shots of toddlers and small kids... they are too lively for me

yes, wonderful job there! i've never done toddler photography (i think it deserves an entire branch of photography just to itself), but it seems to be fairly difficult to get a nice shot because they are so bouncy. i love that fourth one (both of them )

Here are a couple that were a little better of her face but I had so much trouble getting a direct shot. She would walk into the camera as I would try to get them. Boy that made it hard..

Im sorry for busting in on this but... Ive never done the B&W with selective coloring (like the shot of the girl walking away and all is B&W but her dress and hair bow). how did you do that? do you just mask it on a new layer and desaturate? thanks. and the shots are awesome.
