my family and i went up to ventura county for my 20th birthday and we stopped at the beach and i got a camera for my birthday so this is what i got out of the whole experience:

If you still can go back into your initial post, Thor, I'd suggest you still put some spaces between one photo and the other. Helps those who look at them enormously and does each photo more right than if they almost merge.

By the look of things, you have put your new "toy" to a good test and you like to move in on your motif, which I like. But I also like this vanishing point aspect of that little water line in the last but one photo.

All in all they are a tad dark ... even on my very bright monitor. But I am sure you are also into post processing, right? So that could be seen to easily.
