I'm really starting to agree with you! Just a short walk outside that fence is the Page Museum (La Brea Tar Pits), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (which should be having live jazz under the palms on Friday night, the Petersen Auto Museum - a trip inside and out, and an interesting small craft museum - all closed!
