They are uploading stuff in the background to the database, so that is the speed issue.

When we added the thanks, 90% of the forum said it would ruin the site and become a popularity contest. It seems to have worked out pretty good. The Likes and Thanks are the same thing, just different words. We hope that people use this responsibly. Other than that, I like the changes.

Some of the most popular sites in the world are white background (Google, I'm talking to you!) so I don't think it's an issue here. Sorry that you feel that this site has the worst appearance of any photo forum out there, I think it looks great. I guess time will tell as far as if activity here picks up. In the mean time, we may look at doing other skins but it'll be a while, we still need to work out the bugs in this one and the new software before even thinking about that.

Before we enable Tapatalk support however we want to have our ThePhotoForum custom version made so we can give it away for free, so those members who don't have it don't have to pay for Tapatalk. There is no way to change the skin at this time as this is the only skin. We will have a mobile skin available though.

As for the speed, we are still performing maintenance in the background, even now... we are rebuilding the similar threads search engine to support this feature.

So you can select all threads (or, one or two, or what have you) and change your subscription method down below... or delete it entirely.

I don't think you understood my post. White background is great for most sites, but NOT FOR VIEWING PHOTOS, especially those photos whose authors chose to make dark. So yes, it IS an issue here, and a big one read the thread carefully, it's been mentioned more than once.

I never said that – in fact, I really like how it looks. It's just not good for viewing photos.

Maybe we can work on some BB Code that displays a batch of images in a Highslide Photo Viewer with a black background and you get best of both worlds

Please, someone help me out. I may be missing something simple.

I will often use the Search Function (gawd forbid) to try and locate a thread that I have made a post in, not necessarily initiated. I would either use keywords to pinpoint the thread, or just see what I posted yesterday using my username. I have tried to find a thread (or multiple threads) today and the result is only threads that I've started. I know I did not start the thread, but I definitely posted in it.

What's the missing link? Thanks.

Seriously, though. TPF mobile is absolutely horrible

Takes like 10 mins to scroll down one page with all its new gaps and spread layout. Totally killed viewing from mobile for me. Anyone else with a blackberry or iPod tried viewing TPF mobile yet?

Most forums from Vbulletin that im a part of , you can change the backgrounds/layouts to your choice. Black, white etc. How come we cant do this?

Hmm.. now you cant see the topic starter when you list the threads. That is not good. There are some members here where I definitely like to interact with more. It would be nice if I can see who posted the thread before I open it.

that would kind of give it a depressing and dark feeling. That would work on gaming forums not on here

I agree. Hopefully that comes back. Although, I didn't like the new layout of the thread list.
