A-yuh. We used that in the kitchen; I think the trim.in Behr polar bear white, @snowbear !).
Well the racks were all installed except for the rear kayak mount. I ordered some longer bolts to attach it to the cross rail. The mount was intended for the roof rack of a mini-van or SUV so it has a bar that goes on the back of the cross rail. My cross rails are too thick but the mount also has has a centered holes, front and back. I'll use these with a longer bolt than came with the rack's "hardware kit" and use the T-slot in the cross rail.
The only real drawback is the rack + riser blocks the view in the inside rearview mirror. I'm very used to using the outside mirrors so it"s not an issue for me, but MLW isn't as confident with them. I went out this morning and pulled off the cross rails until wer are ready to actually haul a kayak. The brackets stayed so it looks like four mini sharks.
The configuration was changed from the original design. Instead of a "T" slot bolt to attach the brackets, the system uses a threaded aluminum slider that goes in the slot, then the bracket is bolted to those; same configuration as the accessories for the crossbars (the kayak risers, tie-downs and and bike carriers). I'm going to swap out the sliders for There is a "quick release" set of bolts (with knobs) for the crossbars so I'll order them as well as a set of "T" slot bolts and associated washers & nuts so I can pull off the brackets, as well.
I love camera shops (when I can find one), art supply stores, and hardware stores. 4x4 shops are also fun but very expensive.
