Okay, that explains it a little better. I was thinking man she can drink me under the table. Still two large glasses of my Fig wine and you feel it.

Yes. Tomorrow we are going to MSIL's and help her pull some old books out of her attic. Depending on when her meds are being delivered (she has to sign for them) we'll either bring her home with us and go to dinner at a place in VA that we haven't been to for a while or we'll go to one of the Irish pubs in Nap Town (Annapolis) or Charm City (Baltimore).

As far as the beach, we'll see what next weekend brings.

This hurricane, tropical storm or whatever it is, should be well in the rear view mirror by then! There's no beach time while these things are churning through.

I feel 2 large glasses of just about any kind of wine. Lightweight here!

Fig wine sounds interesting. I'm guessing it's on the sweet side, but robust. We used to make muscadine wine, but only if we could find wild grapes. Tried it once with grapes from the farmers market, and it was thin and nasty.

Not really, I raise the specific gravity up to produce an estimated 15% ABV. After fermentation It's very dry, to much so for my taste. I generally post sweeten some before racking to produce an ABV in the 13-14% range, Still there's that little acidic bite from the alcohol, that offsets the added sweetness. Bad thing is it's very palatable so you can drink to much before you know it. Unless you knew it was fig wine you'd be hard pressed to know, because the fig flavor doesn't carry through, I'd say more of a merlot?
 
I’d steer him away from LEO if possible, this day and age it’s just not a pleasant job, if it ever was. Talk about toxic. I’m the only guy in my family that didn’t go into it, they all tell me I made a wise decision to not follow them in. Some of the stories I‘ve heard, you don't want to know.
He spent four years as a Master at Arms (Navy LEO) on an aircraft carrier. He's well aware of the toxicity of the job. Probably why he became a bartender. He's looking at an unarmed security job in the are, which I think is selling himself short, but there you have it.

It's football Saturday in the south, and I'll admit that I'm a little apprehensive about Bama today. This hasn't been a stellar year for us so far.
 
Sixty Five and still alive!

Yesterday, MLSIL lost electricity just before I got to her place So we just came home. We stopped by the orange home store and picked up a new porch lamp for her. I’ll install it when it’s not raining. Try to get into her attic this evening after dinner.
