The Coffee House

Yeay!!! Congratulations Bear. You’re going g to love it.

At my last HS reunion - our 40th (yikes), I was shocked at how many people looked like grandpas and grandmas - and they probably are! But there were also many who looked young and healthy. Some people looked 70 and others looked 40.
"Last" reunion? Your school has had more than one? I'm surprised. School districts around here changed too often. People lose track of each other. Partly this was because Toronto "evolved" a lot over the years. And our schools tended to be smaller than elsewhere.

I grew up in a very densely populated city that was once part of Boston. We had a large graduation class of over 700 students. I believe our class has had reunions every 5 years. I attended the 5th, 25th, 35th and 40th. At the 35th there were only about 50 people who showed up but for the 40th they did a lot of outreach before hand and there were almost 200.

Good moning! I didn't go to my 40th, just wasn't interested.

In other news, the pup adoption fell through. Oh, well. Maybe another time.

Sorry Jeff, that stinks. There are a lot of animals out there who need loving homes. I’m sure the right situation will come along. I saw recently that a lot of the pets from NC need fostering. There’s an org up here that matches older pets with seniors and they pay for all vet care and food supplies.

Oh geez sorry to hear about the puppy. Always another one out there waiting for you.
Well, this is a regular Peyton Place here... 😂 Adoption visit is back on. 🙄 Life sure ain't boring around here, that's for sure.

When I recall HS, I think of Enid and Rebecca in Ghost World.

@jeffashman we are on our 2nd rescue through American Brittany Rescue. Adoption is the way to go, but it has it's problems, good rescue organizations vet the dogs and owners, so there are less issues.
