The end of the first full day of winter - Mt Rainier

Well we had a wonderful blue bird kind of day today for the first day of winter, chilly with a high of 35, but still really nice. This afternoon the clouds started forming over Mt Rainier and you could just sit and watch them change. Took my chair out, bundled up in my polar fleece and watched the changing view.


What a nice day to enjoy the view...

It looks almost like water flowing over and around Rainier...

Changing clouds and shadows...

Losing my light on the mountain...

Blitz, I have two canvas on order of one of the images already without even promoting them or having them up on my website. Posted them to a local web news site and got emails asking for prints. Pictures of Rainier do well when it has odd clouds/weather around it. I have a series of lightening shots over the mountain from almost 5 years ago that I still get requests for, it's something rarely seen around here since our mountains usually disappear when thunderstorms are in the area.
