~ The Fowl Prowl ~

Me yellow Labrador Retriever gun dog MAC was on the prowl for fowl today as he meandered about the flood plain o' a small New England river. Shortly after capturing this image, MAC jumped several mallards out o' a small backwater.

I used a wee bit o' post image editing to impart a vintage appearance to this composition, that being reminiscent o' sporting dog art that I have loved for decades. The e-collar worn by MAC is a dead giveaway that the image is one o' present time.

Nice pic as usual, Mike, but I have to ask ... are you using some type of filter on some of your pics like this one? I've noticed a lot of your pics have a certain look to them but I don't know exactly why so I'm curious.

Sorry about that. You caught me! Sometimes I rush through and just look at the pictures but I usually read the text. Anyway, I like the look of it.
