feel free to let it all fly when i post pics for c&c haha. maybe under our names by where it says whether or not its ok to edit our pictures, it should say if we can take criticism well or not. the things people consider harsh here, are like a nice warm hug on the car forums i belong too lol

Amen to that!! I've been on 7 car forums for almost 8 years now.... I've been ripped to shreds by people because someone didn't like the way I had my Takata harnesses wrapped on my roll cage..... The stuff I've seen on here is exactly like you said it.. A nice warm hug . We appreciate everyones criticism!

I'm an active member of maybe 6 car forums. People are meaner but it's pretty funny!
It's true though, women on those forums are few and far between. The ones that are on there hold their own, though. They get it. It's the internet. It's not personal. Only a few of us on these sites actually know each other. 99% of it is just impersonal banter. If someone says something that might offend you, big deal. Why take it personally? They don't know you from Adam and their comments can't possibly be personal. You really have to put the Ego away for internet forums. Otherwise, you'll just be pissed off all the time and life is too short for that nonsense.

Well, I think it's kind of you to apologize, but I'm concerned that you think you should be anything different than yourself based on what we LOOK LIKE??? I can be crude and throw down and it has nothing to do with what I look like.

Duly noted, however I think what Boom is tryna say is that the pictures add an important human element to a screen name that otherwise just generates text. I think many of us have, at one time or another, said things online that in retrospect, we're not too proud of. I've been on car forums before too, and like many other internet forums, there is a disproportionate representation of snarky, insecure 20 year-old boys (not men). It sets a tone, and others tend to follow suit.

Calling erose butt ugly as a joke when she and everybody else knows it's a joke is not quite the same as not realizing they are "girls" (women) here.
