Have fun with it!

I don't want to be a killjoy. But the cadence and structure of the Japanese language is different than other languages. So it seems to me that translating Haiku procedure to English misses something. No?

Absolutely. That's why our (western) syllable count is in error at the beginning. The discipline calls for 'on', not syllables at all, but, the author of the thread said, "have fun."
