The kids collection - all C&C welcome

So, just joined the forum and thinking the best way to learn and pick up some tips is to share a few of my latest photos from my Flickr. All feedback and suggestions welcome to see if there is anything I can take note of and improve upon. They were all taken on a Nikon d3100 (some with a Tam 17-50 2.8 and some with a Nikon 50mm 1.8) and edited in LR3.3.

I properly got into photography by taking photos of my kids, and now I'm to be asked to take photos of other peoples, which is great fun and helping me to keep on improving.

Love the first shot. Interesting, great compositions and I like the processing.

The fourth seems a little underexposed to me and I don't know if it's the vignetting or just the lighting but it looks to have lost detail around the mouth.

Cheers for the feedback Bo4key, I have a bad habit of crushing the blacks too much in post on my b&w images which does loose the detail.

Nice photos, good captures on the expressions. I like 1, 2 and 3 best. Weekend Wanderers looks a bit snapshotty to me and doesn't run any flags up the pole.

You are really talented! you seem to really have an eye for GREAT composition and for capturing what's interesting in a moment. Can I ask what type of camera/lens/equipment you used?

ohh..one minor tip..maybe blur out or photoshop "chicco" because name placement can sometimes distract. Other than that...SUPERB! If these were photographs of my children you would have my vote =)!!!

Thanks very much! I've learnt alot over the past year, reading alot of blogs and taking some very rubbish photos!

I'm currently using a Nikon d3100, most of these were taken on a Tamron 17-50 2.8 or Nikon 50 1.8 with a reflector for the portraits to get more light.
