Hey Clare, welcome to ThePhotoForum!!!
There was still sooo much snow in the Lake District only last week :shock: --- wow!
But when you were there the weather was brilliant. Nice sun from the side throwing wonderful shadows on the snow. I really like this photo. It is very different from how I usually picture the Lake District, which is good!

Thanks LaFoto, it was a huge bonus, didn't expect to see any but, there was quite a bit, lucklily it was only on the hills/fells the roads were largely clear

You were blessed with perfect lighting on a wonderful scene, and you captured it superbly. I'm jealous of the snow but kind of glad it's becoming spring down here in Dorset. I'm guessing Kent is looking good today?
