The Machine

Off Monday for my afternoon walk and I strayed across the tracks into an old industrial area. This was behind a chain link fence. I was able to poke the camera lens through the fence and grab a snap. I don't know what it was but there's a seat in the back for a driver.

Neat image - derelict equipment. If I had to guess, I would think that maybe it was something used in road construction.

Looks like maybe a big old concrete slip-form machine for road construction as WesternGuy suggested. That's just a best guess though. Not a bad shot.

+1 for crossing the tracks. It's machinery with a lot of character. I'd love to see closer shots, but that would require serious trespassing, unless you brought a telephoto and a tripod.
