Good compositions I think. The way you framed the scene in #1 is good, and putting him so his head breaks the horizon line makes total sense. I like the way scene #1 includes the foreground wave and the rocky point, and the backlighting on the waves helps tremendously. The horizon's a bit tilted, but can easily be corrected. I think #1 is the stronger picture. The second one, you've moved around and come over to the point, and the light is now strong side-lighting, and we lose the drama of the incoming waves, but once again, you placed the fisherman in an excellent spot within the frame, and used the strong lines of the walking boards to lead the eye right to him. It's a good scene, and you were there at the right time of day--early! Yeah, there's image noise, but it doesn't bother me much.
