The official photo forum Contract thread

Okay there has been a few threads about "how to write a contract" / "where can i get contracts"
Therefore I am proposing this thread that we will put up our suggestions of what needs to be covered in the contract, then we will create a contract and copyright it for the use of The photo forum members! (or make 2 versions, a basic version and a pro version, the pro version being part of the Supporters package?)

Well right now i gotta go to work but ill write up some pieces when i get back!

Waste of time, it won't work.

In the book "Business and Legal Forms for Photographers" Tad Crawford list 31 different types of contracts/forms. There are 3 main types of photography: Editorial, Commercial, and Retail. Each requireing differing contract terms and clauses.

Many of those would need to be customized for each photographers specific needs and desires.

Then, a client may well want to negotiate to have certain terms or clauses in the contract changed.

Lastly, laws vary by Country, State, County and City and contracts have to be customized accordingly to be effective.
