Anyone else heard about this? I just saw a commercial for this new reality show on VH1 so I went to their website to check it out.

"10 amateur photographers the chance to live out their wildest fantasies in pursuit of their ultimate dream: to become the next great fashion photographer.

Our cast will live and work together in a downtown L.A. loft while being guided by world-renowned fashion photographer Russell James. These aspiring photographers will embark on a series of photo shoots meant to challenge their creativity and expose their individual weaknesses. For the first time in their lives, the cast will work with supermodels and high-end professionals, while traveling to exotic locations -- all to capture that one perfect shot.

Whether it's shooting on the deck of a schooner in the midst of a storm,
or trying to get a supermodel to cuddle up to a Siberian tiger, our cast will face daunting tasks and obstacles that will test their talent, desire and drive to be the next great fashion photographer.

Each episode will contain a "teach challenge", where Russell presents the cast with a new technical or creative lesson, and a photo shoot, in which the cast will be asked to utilize what they've learned in a legitimate, fashion-oriented photo campaign. Each week Russell and his professional panel will review the cast's photos, eliminating the weakest shooter.

After a month long journey the best photographer will emerge and be crowned the show's winner, thus launching his or her professional career.

10 aspiring photographers...30 grueling days...1 shot at a glamorous life
in the world of high end fashion photography."

Anyone else interested?? I remember having a conversation with my husband how this was one of the only things in the entertainment/art industry that hadn't been featured on a reality show. I always watch the last half hour of America's Next Top Model to see the photo shoot and finished photos, but this will definitely be much better!

Pretty neat. I had that thought as well and often thought it would make for an interesting show, at least to me. Not sure how others will receive it. I wish there was a regular series that was photography related on NG or TLC or Discovery as well.

Son of a ***** I wish I had TV

Oh please oh please oh please pick me me me .... I want to be humiliated on national television through edits and cuts that make me look like a feckless idiot so a conglomerate-owned network can sell more zit creme to teenagers.

Whew, glad I'm not the only one.

Show starts tonight at 9pm CST. I'm sure it won't be the most fulfilling program but what the heck, I'll watch it.

I'm watching now. I think the same concept, but on the national geographic channel for a Nat Geo job would be better. This is obviously going to turn in to a soap opera.

I agree. In the opening though, it looked like they would be doing more than just fashion shots though.

Dean's personality reminds me of a few of the people on this forum. :greenpbl: :)

I'd love to get my hands on some of the equipment they are using.

So, what do you think? Could you have done better? Do you work well under pressure?
I wonder if they even gave Piper a chance to explain the dynamics of her team or was what we saw really all that there was to the elimination.

I could of done better than that guy that had them rolled up in the mattress and having a screaming orgasm. I see what the bossman was saying, most of those shots were set up like porn shots. No sensuality what so ever.

I dont like directing models either. I find normal people a far more interesting subject.

I'm still happy with "free" TV. At least until I have to pay for the converter to go digital. Five channels of crap is much better than 150 channels.
