This is a tree near my house. A bit of background - I'm actually surrounded by office buildings, so in order to get just the tree and hill in the shot I've got to lie on the ground. People see these and think they're from the middle of nowhere - nope, suburban twin cities. Anyone, I wanted one of each season, and here's the preliminary result. We've had some funky weather this year, so I noticed from the exif data that the "summer" tree was actually taken in April 2012, and the "Spring" tree in May 2013. Thoughts?

Cool work. The winter one looks spot on. The fall one the ground seems a bit overdone with the orange although the tree looks good.

I really like the idea of it, but I think the execution could be a bit better. I also think it needs to be ordered differently.

I think what would have made this series really stand out, is if you shot from the exact same point of view/distance every time.

Thanks all for looking. I'm definitely least happy with the fall shot - was trying for a golden hour shot but in that spot the shadows make for a tough exposure. Might try to redo that one.

What would you suggest for the order?

I tried to get them as close to possible to the same spot. They're all shot at the same focal length, but I literally have to put the camera on the ground and point it up to get this shot so I can't look through the viewfinder. This makes it tough to replicate the exact spot, especially given that during one season the ground is covered in snow. Perhaps I could bring in the crop on the spring tree and they would appear more similar. I think from an angle perspective the summer one might be the most different from the others, so maybe I'll try to reshoot that one next month.

The idea looks very interesting.
Perhaps you may improve impression of the seasons change with special weather and/or sky conditions chosen for your photos?

Aside from the bright center ground spot in the Fall one, I like them. The concept is nice, and it makes it even better that you were able to do it in the middle of civilization.
Would reorganize them, though .... due to my mother's taste in music when I was little, seasons always go "Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall".
