reviews seem pretty good...anyone have this?...if not this one, then what will be a good choice

Looks fine; they're a pretty simple thing, just a piece of translucent plastic, so as long as it fits your flash-head, it should be fine. You can also use a piece of bleach-bottle or similar plastic, or even a piece of tissue to produce a similar effect.

What you have chosen is not the best type. Go to the Lumiquest website where you will find several models that are better (although they also have the same model). But try this one instead; you'll be happier with the quality of the light:
