Was on a morning walk today and saw this duck kicking around and was still there when I changed to my 70-200mm. There were about 10-15 that I was able to slowly move in close enough to get a decent shot.

I like it Ron. I haven't seen many ducks around here lately and the ones I do see are either decoys or dead because it's duck season. :/

Thanks shefjr. These were hanging out at the riverwalk canal and are use to people so you can get pretty close. I took a few with my 24-135mm but changed to get closer so I wouldn't have to crop as much.

Very nice shot. The water is certainly unique.

Mallards can tend to get used to people being around them and become relatively tame. The place I used to work had ponds all around the buildings and lots of ducks and geese on the ponds. They got tame enough that they would eat out of my hand each morning.

Nice shot! The ducks around here are lacing up the CCM hockey skates getting ready for pound hockey.

Thanks DarkShadow. These may need their skates tomorrow if this cold front is what they say it is.

Good reflections. She looks a bit puffed up, maybe to keep warm.
