What Kris said also, about 2 weeks ago I was having a hard time focusing and couldn't get anything and thought my camera was messed up or lens. I felt like throwing them both away. I started doing a little research and found out that it was as simple as changing the focus + release to just focus. Somehow it got changed in my settings and never thought about checking that. Also, I shoot at a min. of 1/1250. Give that a try and listen to Kris, he knows what he is talking about. I learned a lot off of him and that is one of the good things about this forum.
