Yep, poor subject IMO. Processing is quite nice, I don't find it overdone. Colours look good too and composition is ok, I think I see what you have tried to do here, possibly a bit more at the bottom would give it a more rounded feel, but the subject is not abstract enough to be a colour study and not interesting enough otherwise.

How about this: crop, white balance, darken sky and contrast increase. I like the photo, feels like home to me.

much cleaner and brighter. now im going to try to copy what you did to see how far off it was...

The bottom left hand corner is messed up. I think it is ice. It looks like a photo flaw though. Not sure why that happened....
